Five people die in vehicle collision near Lothair

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by Lothair Police.

Lothair Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two vehicles collided at around 6.30pm on the Lothair and Amsterdam road near the Bankop T-junction on Saturday, 30 March.

According to Lothair Police spokesman, Const Bathobile Khumalo, four people died on the scene and another died later at the Ermelo Provincial hospital, bringing the total to five people.

“Two other people are still in critical condition at the hospital,” Const Khumalo said.
