Two of four men caught after trying to rob American Swiss store

According to Ms Magda Venter, manager of the Oak Centre, the guards working at the centre confiscated a firearm suspected to have been used in the attempted robbery.

Four men tried to rob the American Swiss store at the Oak Centre on Tuesday morning, 9 October. ACSU security guards managed to catch two, while the others fled.

ACSU security guards caught two of four men after an attempted armed robbery at the American Swiss store in the Oak Centre at around 9.40am on 9 October.

According to Ms Magda Venter, manager of the Oak Centre, the guards working at the centre confiscated a firearm suspected to have been used in the attempted robbery.

The owner of the store next door notified the ACSU guards and the manager of the Oak Centre of suspicious activity.

No shots were fired and no injuries have been reported.

The other two men are on the run.
