Ermelo residents have their say on Australia’s ball-tampering scandal
The Highvelder asked readers’ opinion on the ball-tampering scandal at the third cricket test between South Africa and Australia. This is what they had to say.
Claudia Lottering. It was shocking how they did that with all the cameras watching them. Our poor children are watching and they see their heros cheating. That was unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Malvin Shabangu. I am very disappointed in the Australian cricket team, even more in the ICC. The penalties were light and should have been heavier.
Muzi Hleza. All actions have consequences and the Australians deserved losing the match and the sanctions against them.
Jackie Rudolph. They absolutely deserve the punishment given to them. I do not know what they were thinking to cheat in daylight, with all eyes on them.
