Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality hosts Sports Indaba for staff

The purpose of the indaba was to uplift, motivate and encourage staff members, but most importantly to let them know that they are not alone in their day-to-day operations in delivering municipal services to communities in an efficient and effective manner.

Political principals and officials from the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality (CALLM) actively participated in a Staff Indaba at the Forever Resort recently.

The purpose of the indaba was to uplift, motivate and encourage staff members, but most importantly to let them know that they are not alone in their day-to-day operations in delivering municipal services to communities in an efficient and effective manner.

The political and administrative leadership also used the opportunity to award officials with certificates of acknowledgement for long service.

The indaba was followed by a fun-filled wellness programme where the political principals and officials competed in various sporting codes which included soccer, netball, volleyball and tug of war.

Indigenous games such as morabaraba and inqgathu were also part of the programme to the delight of the officials.

The Executive Mayor of CALLM, Mr Daniel Nkosi, delivered the keynote address, reminding employees that the municipality has a high regard of all of them individually and collectively as there would be no municipality without them.

He thanked the political leadership, including the councillors for their commendable work in providing a conducive environment for service delivery to the people.
