Spring is in the air

Spring is in the air.

People from all over celebrated Spring Day on Friday.

The trees are filled with blossoms and the gardens are becoming more colourful by the day.

It is nice to see little children running around bare feet again and it is easier to get out of bed in the mornings.

It is also not necessary any longer to wear layers of clothes in the mornings.

Although the mornings are still a little chilly, the weather changes as the day progresses and only late afternoon do we need to put on the jackets again.

I am not brave enough to get into my summer clothes yet, but I am sure the day will come soon.

I have noticed that as the season changes, people start spring-cleaning their houses, cutting their hair and make all kinds of changes.

They make changes in their gardens and just give the world a new look.

This inspires me to just put a flower in my hair and enjoy the sunny days.

But we have also learned that in Ermelo you never pack your winter clothes too far away, as winter has a way to pop up even in November and

December – just to make us appreciate the warm weather afterwards again.

This coming weekend I am going to start organising my cupboards and getting rid of everything I do not use anymore.

I think it is time for new beginnings and I also think it will make a difference to the way I feel about myself and life if I get rid of what I do not use anymore.

On the other hand, it can make a difference in the lives of the people I give it to. They might just have an urgent need for it.
Enjoy spring.
