WATCH – Take-away owner in Standerton held at gunpoint

Kasselman Security Services were quick to respond, but the Standerton Police arrived an hour after the incident occurred.

The beginning of a new season did not begin well for a family that own a take-away business in Standerton as they were faced with an armed robbery about 8.25am on 1 September.

One of the suspects first entered the shop, pretending to be a customer and was followed by another suspect.

Both stood at the counter to pay for the goods they were suposedly buying and suddenly moved in behind the counter where they overpowered Mr Jinhau Chen, an elderly owner.

One of the suspects ran to the back of the shop, weapon drawn, where Ms Chunzhu Yan was frantic with fear.

Kasselman Security Services were quick to respond, but the Standerton Police arrived an hour after the incident occurred.
