Khumbulani Radebe (53) was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment at the Breyten Magistrate’s Court last Friday for the murder of Phineas Nkambule.
A further 20 years for robbery and eight years for arson were added to his sentence.
The sentence comes after he robbed and burned 75-year-old Nkambule to death in Davel on 29 March.
Investigations by Det S.J. Ndlovu led to his arrest.
