Msukaligwa Municipality assists with wheelchairs on Mandela Day

25 wheelchairs were handed over to the elderly and physically challenged.

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Mr Thabang Makwetla, accompanied by Executive Mayor of Msukaligwa Local Municipality, Mr M.S. Nkosi, in partnership with Msukaligwa Parliamentary Constituency Office, visited the Siyonqoba Drop-In Centre at KwaZanele Township in Breyten last Tuesday to dedicate 67 minutes for Mandela.

The Deputy Minister handed over a refurbished centre that has been tiled and installed with a new kitchen facility, computers and a television set.

Other work done included the cultivation of the orphanage gardens, renovation of roofs, door and window repairs, painting, cleaning of premises as well as repairs of ablution facilities and erecting of a palisade fence.

25 wheelchairs were handed over to the elderly and physically challenged.
