Lothair police bust dagga dealer

The police were conducting a stop-and-search operation when they searched a light motor vehicle which yielded compressed marijuana.

Lothair Police arrested a 45-year-old male for dealing in marijuana when he was found in possession of the drug weighing in at 27 kg with a street value of about R50 000.

The police were conducting a stop-and-search operation on the road to Ermelo when they noticed a suspicious light motor vehicle which, when searched, yielded compressed marijuana.

The man is remanded in custody and will appear at the Lothair Periodical Court for a formal bail application on 20 July.
