A fatal collision near Piekspruit involving two vehicles left the N17 between Bethal and Trichardt closed for a short while early Saturday morning.
It has been confirmed that one person has died.
Two people were taken to hospital by emergency services.
Bethal EMS, Langamed Services South and ER24 were on the scene.
The road was cleared a short while later and is now open to the public.
