Camden Management Team together with Thakhu Trading and Swan South Africa handed over a brand-new kitchen to New Ermelo Primary School last Thursday.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a cold room, 225-litre industrial pots and all the necessary equipment to ensure that meals are prepared easily for all the learners at school.
“Eskom cares, and Sinobuntu is part of Eskom’s values. Handing over this kitchen built by our partners, Thakhu Trading and Swan South Africa, is evidence that Eskom really cares,”said Camden Power Station General Manager, Mr Christo Spammer.
Ms L. Mnisi, speaking on behalf of the Executive Mayor, thanked Eskom, Thakhu and Swan for the donation and invited all companies within the municipality to assist where they can because government alone cannot solve all the community problems.
As part of the skills development, the New Ermelo Primary School kitchen staff will be trained on how to use the equipment installed by Thakhu .
