Davel Police recently arrested five males and a female during their stop-and-search operations on the N17 between Davel and Bethal.
The suspects were found and charged with possession of marijuana weighing up to 9 kg with an estimated street value of R9 000.
They appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court where two were fined R800 and R1 000 respectively.
The other three were remanded in custody pending further investigation.
