SAVF benefits from tournament

"We appreciate everyone's contribution to enable us to donate a substantial amount to a needy organisation every year," said Philip Coetzer, Dealer Principal, De Wit Motors Passenger Cars.

De Wit Motors hosted its 10th annual MercedesTrophy golf day at Ermelo Country Club on 3 March. This hugely successful event is not only dedicated to their loyal customers, but is also held as a fundraising event to support a deserving local organisation every year.

MercedesTrophy is a World Amateur Golfing event hosted by Mercedes-Benz in over 45 countries. Currently, there are 27 regional events held in South Africa.

The three winners of De Wit Motors’ tournament in Divisions A, B and C, Stefan van Heerden, Werner Killian and Elandi Klopper, all qualify to compete in the national final in Mauritius.

Thereafter, three overall winners are selected to represent Mercedes-Benz South Africa in the prestigious World Finals in Stuttgart, Germany.

The fundraising aspect of this event is very important to De Wit Motors.

“We appreciate everyone’s contribution to enable us to donate a substantial amount to a needy organisation every year,” said Philip Coetzer, Dealer Principal, De Wit Motors Passenger Cars.

This year the SAVF Retirement Home in Ermelo was selected as the beneficiary of the fundraising event. An amount of R75 000 was raised for the home, together with a large donation of cutlery from Complete Restaurant Solutions.

The management of the Retirement Home was overwhelmed with the contribution and will immediately address urgent needs with the money.

De Wit Motors would like to thank all their customers who were part of this hugely successful event. They would also like to thank the following sponsors; Woodenways, At se Boekwinkel, Delkor Brokers, D&V Bouers, Pick n Pay, as well as all the individual sponsors including Corrie Barnard, Isaac Strauss from PFK Westrand, Adam Voges, Attie Prinsloo and many more.
