Kusile donates school uniform
This initiative ties in with the groups core value "Sinobuntu"
Kusile power station donated full school uniforms to 1 200 learners from different schools in Nkangala District Municipality.
Eskom’s Group Capital Mr Abram Masango said the power utility aims to add real value to the lives of South Africans. He said this initiative ties in with the groups core value “Sinobuntu”(we care).
“This is just one of the ways we try to make a difference in the lives of the communities we operate in. We trust the learners will find it easier to fit in and participate meaningfully in the curriculum,”said Mr Masango.
The school uniform handover follows the establishment of the School Uniform Donation Programme established by the Nkangala District Executive Mayor Cllr Linah Malatjie aimed at supporting children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
