Church is grateful for help received

"I'm happy that I could help and I have also called upon fellow comrades and business people to lend a hand, not only to this church but anywhere in the community where their help is required."

Apostle Blessing Moganedi of Baal-parizm Restoration Assembly International and his congregation received much needed assistance after a section of the roof of their Church was blown away recently.

After approaching several people for help and his call was heeded by Trevor Nkosi (Chief Whip of Council in the Gert Sibande District Municipality) who, after inspecting the structure, offered to assist with the roofing material last Thursday.

Apostle Moganedi said he was aware of Mr Nkosi’s involvement in the community and helping out wherever he could, which is why he also thought of him during his congregation’s difficult time.

“The past week has been difficult, as we were forced to hold sessions outside for fear of the members’ safety.

“The help we received from Mr Nkosi goes a long way and we have also received help from other members of the community, such as a fellow member in ministry, Pastor Lubisi, who also gave a helping hand with donations,”explained Apostle Moganedi.

Mr Nkosi said a politician’s responsibility is not and should not be limited to politics, but to anyone and everyone in need.

“I’m happy that I could help and I have also called upon fellow comrades and business people to lend a hand, not only to this church but anywhere in the community where their help is required,” he said.

The Church was established in 2009 and has a membership of 230 in the Ermelo branch, but also has other branches in KwaNongoma in KwaZulu-Natal and in Breyten.
