Man murdered in street

He was found lying in the street with stabwounds wounds to the head and face.

A 38-year-old man, Sunday Mavuso, died after being attacked by unknown assailants in the New Shack area of Thusi Village at about 21:00 on Wednesday 11 January.

He was found lying in the street with stabwounds wounds to the head and face.

Medical assistance was summoned but he was declared dead on the scene. The deceased was employed by Roshcon and worked at the Camden Power Station.

Police spokesman for Ermelo, Capt Carla Prinsloo said it appeared that Mavuso was on his way home from a nearby café when he was attacked.
