Children of the Dawn enjoy day out

The children were taken on a tour to The Batwa Valley, with its Giant Mushroom Rock, Batwa Valley goes back in time as the place where the ancient Tlou E’Tle (Bushman) lived and met their end.

Last week, Heads on Beds and Highveld Conference Center, hosted an eventful day for the kids of The Children of the Dawn organisation.

The children were taken on tour to The Batwa Valley, with its Giant Mushroom Rock, Batwa Valley goes back in time as the place where the ancient Tlou E’Tle (Bushman) lived and met their end.

The eroded Batwa Valley hides an ancient Stone Age Site and with this ‘’Sound and Senses Tour” the children could experience the mystery and emotion of these ancient people.

After their tour the children were treated to a braai at Die Oogappel where they had fun playing on jumping castles and were spoilt with cake and other delicious eats.

Me Venice Warner-Atkinson spoke to the children and reminded them that they are worthy and special and must strive to be the giants of tomorrow.

She also reminded them that they were each born into greatness, no matter where they come from or how they look, and that they can create their own bright future by striving to be better each and every day.

Each child received a Christmas gift and treats before heading home.

Me Warner-Atkinson thanked Heads on Beds, Highveld Conference Center, Highveld Heritage Tours, Oogappel, Brakecore, Pick n Pay Ermelo, David Rathbone from Chrissiesmeer, Calstar Group, Caltex Fresh Stop, Ouma Rooi Koeksisters, Willtech Office Equipment, Rietspruit Crushers, Burger Springkastele, Jamdrop, Tilly’s Bus Services, Wildman and Joggie Kleinsmit for making the day possible.
