Provincial Hospital goes green

Ermelo Toyota donated five young trees to the Ermelo Provincial Hospital during a tree planting ceremony last Thursday.

Ermelo Toyota is known as an environmentally friendly company and with September being Arbour Month, management and staff believed this was the perfect time to “spread the green”.

The company donated five young trees to the Ermelo Provincial Hospital during a tree planting ceremony last Thursday.

Hospital CEO, Ms Catherine Mbuyane, expressed her gratitude to Ermelo Toyota and said there was indeed a need to beautify and uplift the hospital grounds. She also expressed the hope that other local business enterprises would follow this example.

The trees were planted with the help of Mandla and staff members of the hospital, together with Anne Scott and Jabulani from Toyota.

“We know these trees will get all the necessary care to help them grow tall and strong and provide shade on hot summer days and lend a bit of colour to the environment in the winter, as they are of an evergreen variety,” said Ms Scott who headed the project.
