Local mine celebrates women
"It's important to love yourself before loving others, embrace your beauty, both on the inside and outside,"
Vunene Mining Company celebrated its women and treated them to an intimate party in celebration of Women’s Month at Indawo Lodge, Ermelo last Friday.
The 60s themed party saw the women dressed up in Kofifi style and was nothing short of glitz and glam.
Systems Manager Ms Elize Johnstone encouraged the women to always remember their worth and the massive power within themselves.
“Speaking to you all is humbling because you think to yourself, what do you say to such strong women whose birthright is motivation. A woman’s life is a motivation, you care for yourself and others. You make sure a house is a home and all its members are looked after,”said Elize to the applause of other women.
Pastor P.S. Mdaka delivered the address for the day. Her message was based on loving oneself and embracing one’s beauty.
“It’s important to love yourself before loving others, embrace your beauty both on the inside and outside,”said Past Mdaka. She also congratulated the women on being strong, especially in the male-dominated environment they operate in.
Human Resources Officer, Fisani Khumalo applauded all the women for their achievements and reminded them that anything a man can do, a woman can do better.
She also commended them for all their hard work, dedication and commitment.
