Drivers encouraged to keep fire extinguishers

Extinguishers can reduce potential damages to property and prevent unnecessary death and injuries.

Inkatha Freedom Party has encouraged drivers to equip their vehicles with fire extinguishers.

This comes after eight people recently died when a taxi they were travelling in collided with a moto vehicle and burst into flames.

One of the witnesses said she tried to get help from passing motorists and those who did stop could not help as they did not have any fire extinguishers

IFP National Chairperson Blessed Gwala said extinguishers can reduce potential damages to property and prevent unnecessary death and injuries.
