Womens League oppose bail

They were found brutally murdered at their home in Mabuza Street.

Members of the ANC Women’s League and concerned citizens of Ermelo joined hands on Tuesday as they marched to the Ermelo’s Magistrate Court to attend the bail hearing of Leonard Nhlanhla Sibande (28).

The Womens League and other marchers were in protest against Sibande getting bail for the murder of a four months pregnant mother and her child.

They were found brutally murdered at their home in Mabuza Street in Wesselton’s Tembisa Section a week ago.
The woman, Philile Philisiwe Ginindza (23) and her two-year old child, Nompumelelo Sibande, were both found with stab wounds to the abdomen, chest and eyes.

The Women’s League called for the suspect to be denied bail, for men to be protectors of households and not perpetrators of violence against women and children.
