An annoyed resident informed the Highvelder of a six year old sewerage problem that has become unbearable.
According to the resident, it has been six years since the problem first occurred and they have reported the matter to the municipality on numerous occasions.
Two weeks ago the flooding began again and covered their yard in human waste.
After they had reported the matter a few times, workers of the technical department arrived to attend to the matter.
They apparently only removed the cover from the manhole and after a few minutes told the resident they would return shortly to fix the problem.
This, however, did not happen.
A week later, the hole is still uncovered with sewage boiling out.
The Highvelder requested the municipality to comment, but no response had been received by the time of going to print.
