"Government will not rest until those who attack Police officers are put behind bars,"

“Government will not rest until those who attack Police officers are put behind bars,”said Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison Vusi Shongwe.

He was reacting to the shooting of a Police officer by a wanted suspect. Constable Carlson Phillip Bhiya of the Detective Services in Kabokweni Police station was shot on the arm.

The suspect fled the scene in hijacked Toyota Hiace, however, a 29 year old male suspect believed to be his accomplice was arrested at the scene

MEC Shongwe has urged the community to assist Police in locating the suspect.
