Bodies found in streets. Police request information.

While on routine patrol in Main Street, Everest Park, at approximately 23:30 on Saturday 3 October, police were flagged down by a man who led them to the body of a 28 year-old man that was found lying in the street.

Upon closer inspection police found the deceased had been stabbed twice in the chest.

It is believed that prior to the police’s arrival, another man seen in the vicinity was taken to the Ermelo Provincial Hospital where he was treated for minor stab wounds and released.

In a separate incident, on Monday 5 October the body of a man believed to have been between 38 to 40 years of age was found on the corner of Davel and Jorrissen Streets, opposite the AJ Swanepoel Stadium.

There were no apparent injuries to the body. The deceased was wearing blue overall trousers, well-worn work boots and a blue cap.
