Transport minister, Ms Dipuo Peters will officially launch the 2015 October Transport Month Campaign tomorrow in Marite, Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.
The campaign is aimed at showcasing infrastructure projects with major Socio Economic Spin offs in the different modes of transport. The campaign will also be used to heighten the 365-Days Road Safety Campaign.
A site visit will be conducted at the new Traffic Officers Training College which is under construction in Mkhuhlu.
The minister will also lead a road safety education and awareness activation together with road safety law enforcement officers at the Mkhuhlu taxi rank along the R536 and R40 roads.
Deputy minister of Transport Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga, Mpumalanga acting Premier and MEC for Community Safety and Liaison Vusi Shongwe, Public Works, Roads and Transport MEC’s will accompany the minister.
