Members of Chrissiesmeer and Kwachibikhulu communities united and took to the streets blocking the national road N17 that passes through Chrissiesmeer to Swaziland earlier today.
The protest was triggered by a two weeks long without running water in their taps, the makeshift supply of water through the use of water cans not being enough for everyone and also for the non-communication by the municipality about the situation.
According to the angry mob, they are tired of Msukaligwa Municipality because they are mum on the situation. Another resident said not so long ago they were in the same situation and the municipality promised that this wont happen again and now they are back to the beginning.
