Notice on power outage

Notice of planned power outage in Ermelo.

Msukaligwa Local Municipality is having a planned electricity outage due to the upgrade of 11kV panels at the main substation.

This upgrade will improve the reliability of the network and safety of the operations during switching periods.

The following streets and areas will be affected: Pet, Cloete, Fourie, Burger, Oosthuise, Joubert, De Clerq, McDonald and Taute streets, Cassim Park, John Vorster Park and the whole of Wesselton.

Members of the community who are at the intersections of these affected streets will also be affected.
The affected community is also advised that these areas will experience a water shortage or low pressure during this period, as electricity is used to pump water.

The power supply will be interrupted from 22:00 Saturday, 6 June to 22:00 on Monday, 8 June.

The municipality has also advised that the restoration of power will be done in phases and sections, depending on the readiness of the system. This process may continue to 9 June. All electrical points and installations should be considered live during the power interruption.
