Brothers for Life and ZAZI Know Your Strength recently held an interactive health campaign at Sun City, Ermelo where community members participated and danced to the music on the day.
HIV counselling and testing, medical male circumcision (MMC), distribution of condoms and information on methods of family planning were all available on site.
During the campaign, 172 HIV tests were done and 75 circumcisions were performed.
A resident from Ext 33 was circumcised and he said he was motivated by the Brothers for Life and he encouraged his peers to the same.
A 61-year-old man was the oldest patient who was also circumcised on the day.
He had a seamless experience and also encouraged other males to consider circumcision.
Also present during the campaign were the ZING advertisement Innocent Sadidki Thando Mncube, who also educated the crowd on the importance and advantages of circumcision.
The MMC circumcision campaign is in partnership with Brothers for Life, the National Department of Health.
