Ermelo: Police are investigating a case in which a 17-year-old female was reportedly raped twice on the same night by two different men.

Police spokesman for Ermelo, Capt Carla Prinsloo, said according to statements given, the complainant was at a well-known night club in Wesselton on Sunday night.

During the course of the evening, a male patron persuaded the young woman to accompany him to his home to fetch more money.
Upon their arrival, he took her inside and allegedly raped her. She then made her way back to the tavern, but was accosted by an unknown male who also allegedly raped her.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the first incident, but police are calling for the public’s assistance in the second case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer Const J. Steyn at 017 811 1896.

Police are also investigating a case of child rape and sexual assault after a 9-year-old girl was raped on Tuesday, 20 January.
Capt Prinsloo said the girl had gone home after school and was taken into the bathroom by a man known to her.
