Thamilsile Khumalo of Ermelo experienced 5 minutes of shopping bliss at Ermelo Game store on Friday as the lucky winner of the Vodacom/Game trolley dash. Thamilsile was one of only five winners in South Africa and qualified for the competition by purchasing a Vodacom cell phone contract and meeting certain conditions.
Staff members of Game Ermelo and representatives of Vodacom were on hand to monitor Thamisile’s dash through the store as she picked out and marking as many items as she could in the allotted time. She was given free-run of the store and was allowed to choose anything her heart desired but limited to R30, 000 in value.
Five minutes later an exhausted but delighted Thamisile had scooped up goods to the value of R29,994.86, which included a fridge, a washing machine and a host of other well chosen items.
