CAP was established in 1996 by a group of offenders from various gangster formations with the intention to regenerate and motivate each other and how they would constructively contribute to the societies they had wronged.

Nkosana Mofokeng and Mduduzi Nkosi both from Wesselton served their 15 and 14 years jail sentence respectively in different prisons within the province.
Sibusiso Sithole, an-ex offender himself informed the Highvelder that part of their vision is to welcome back ex offenders into a formal structure that tries to assist them integrate back to society with the hope to impart skills they acquired while in prison and to participate in constructive dialogue and initiatives against crime.
Sibusiso says its important for the community to accept ex-ofenders back into society as they’ve already paid for their wrong and all they need now is a second chance and give back.
Nkosana and Mduduzi also wish to warn the youth that crime does not pay. “Time spent in prison is time lost and can never be regained,” said the duo.
