Not all schools have received learning material

Mpumalanga Department of Education recently said in a media statement that they have already delivered Learning and Teaching Support Material (LTSM) to schools within the province.

Mpumalanga Department of Education recently said in a media statement that they have already delivered Learning and Teaching Support Material (LTSM) to schools within the province.

They had allocated R173 million for delivery of the core LTSM, that is stationery and Grade 12 Folklore for 2015.

The Highvelder contacted some of the local schools to establish if they had received all their material for 2015.

The principal of one of the secondary schools said they had not received all their Grade 12 stationery and had recently refused signing for a delivery, because it was not all the material they had ordered.

A primary school spokesman said they had not received their complete order.

Both schools have, however, informed their superiors at the district office about the situation.

Mpumalanga Department of Education has also requested schools to give feedback on deliveries and indicate instances where there are shortages before schools close on 10 December.
