On Friday 25 April at about 23:00 a female employee at a tavern in Wesselton was robbed of cash and cigarettes to the value of R4 500. According to the complainant, three unidentified men approached her while she was locking up.l

At midnight on Saturday 26 April a woman was asleep in her home in Mabalisa Street when she was woken by a strange man who had entered her bedroom. The man then threatened her with a knife and after robbing her of cell phones and cash, he reportedly raped her. Police are investigating.l

A shop owner in Extension 32 was robbed of cash and a cell phone at about 10:00 on Sunday 27 April. He was about to go to town, when he was approached by two unknown men who robbed him at knifepoint.l

At about 09:00 on Sunday 27 April a woman was robbed of her cell phone at her home in Everest Park while she was preparing food in the kitchen. According to the complainant, five men entered her home and held her at gunpoint. Three of the men were armed with firearms and two had knives. The men fled the scene after a shot was fired. The complainant was not injured in the incident.l

Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after two men who were returning from a tavern at about 18:00 were allegedly shot by two unknown assailants in Magwaza Street on Monday 28 April. The victims underwent treatment at the Ermelo Provincial Hospital.
