Rotary cares for community

A wide range of medical and informatory services was available to people that have no access to these services.

Rotary clubs across South Africa hosted Family Health Days last week.

Ermelo’s Rotary clubs also joined in this venture and the hall and grounds of the Catholic Church were transformed into a health-care facility for three days.

The aim to bring medical services to the people was a great success with 674 patients that received medical attention during the three-day programme.

A wide range of medical and informatory services was available to people that have no access to these services.

The services included eye and dental care; measles inoculations; deworming; nutrition and lifestyle choices; screening for cervical cancer, TB screening and diabetes; hypertension testing; HCT and the distribution of condoms.

The Department of Home Affairs and SASSA were also at hand to assist.
