Four people were killed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Four people were killed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At about 12.30am the police received a call from the Provincial Hospital informing them that Joseph Ngwenya (38) had died of his injuries after he was stabbed several times.

He was found in Malaza Street in Extension 2 in Wesselton and taken to hospital where he died.

Vusi Ndlili was in the Emoyeni Tavern in Gluli Street at about 1.45am when a group of men entered the tavern, asked for him, approached him, stabbed him to death and ran away.

Lucky Twala and his friend were outside Dube Tonight when a group of men who had been asked by the owner of the tavern to leave, approached them.

The group divided and some of them demanded money and a cell phone from the man whose name is not known to the Highvelder.

The other group stabbed Lucky. He was also taken to hospital where he died.

Charges of murder and attempted murder are being investigated after Themba Ndebele (27) was shot to death and another person wounded in the leg and neck.

The injured man is still in hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
