Clix is new marketing manager
New sales and marketing manager is ready for action.
SECUNDA – Mr Clix Salman (31) took over the reins as new sales and marketing manager at Graceland Casino, Hotel and Resort on 1 October.
He grew up in East London and studied Tourism Management in Port Elizabeth after he matriculated in 2000.
He began his career working for Sun International as a trainee in Port Elizabeth in December 2002 and was accepted in the Sun International Group’s Gaming, Marketing, Management and Development programme in 2005.
“I got exposure to eight different Sun International properties over the two year period on the graduate programme and I learnt various aspects of the business,” said Mr Salman.
He worked as an area marketing manager for Sun International in Lesotho for three years before he moved to Secunda.
“I learnt a lot in Lesotho and I think that has prepared me for the role of this job,” said Mr Salman.
He is married to Ms Pinda Salman and they have a three-year-old daughter, Olwakhe.
He took the job in Secunda as it was a new challenge for him and it is closer to his family and friends.
In his free time Mr Salman enjoys travelling, watching sport and playing golf.
