A combined score of 273 strokes secured an overall win for home-town boys, Niel Clifford, Gary Daniel, Eddie Daniel and Hans de Wet of the Ermelo A-Team in the gross division of the Highveld Country Cup golf competition played at the Ermelo Country Club on Sunday.

In second place, eight strokes further back on 281, was the Greenside A team of Devon Strydom, Kobus Clarence, Donovan de Vries and Piet van Zyl.
The Nett Division was won by Standerton-B on 254 with Ermelo-B in second place on 265.
Top honours in the Pairs Division went to team Bankenveld (gross) and Team Volksrust (nett).
Ermelo Golf Club is proud to announce that four of its members, Eddie Daniel, Gary Daniel, Niel Clifford and Brian Naidoo, were selected for the Mpumalanga mid-amateur team that participated in the SA Mid-amateur Championships at Rustenburg from 10 to 15 October.
The Mpumalanga team did exceptionally well and finished in second place.
