Mr Nhlanhla Leonard Sibande was found guilty of two counts of murder in the Breyten Magistrate’s Court on 9 January.
The Highvelder reported on 27 February 2016 of a pregnant mother and toddler who were brutally stabbed to death in Wesselton in Ermelo .
Ms Philile Philisiwe Dinindza (23) and her two-year-old child, Nompumelelo Sibande, were both found with stab wounds to the abdomen, chest and eyes.
According to Sgt Thabe Mashegoane, spokesman for Breyten Police, Mr Sibande appeared in court to be sentenced on 10 January.
