144 learners crammed into 65-seater school bus

According to Mr Mzwandile Zulu, of the South African Communist Party (SACP), the most affected school is Lungelo Primary School.

“Buses are only allowed to transport 65 learners, however, 144 learners are crammed into one bus.”

Mr Mxolisi Dlamini, spokesman from the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport commented on scholar transport.

Mr Dlamini, said, the Department of Education did not submit a request for the route from Transvallia to Lungelo Primary School.
