Carolina Police have recently done a monthly crime analysis and discovered that an alarming number of cases of assault with the intention to cause body harm were registered at Carolina Police station in August.
According to Const Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, most of the victims were stabbed with either a beer bottle or a knife.

Const Mokwana said: “The incidents mostly took place at taverns early in the morning, between Fridays and Mondays.”

They urged all liquor outlets owners to up their security and to conduct searches for weapons.

Patrons must also be patient with one another at the taverns.

“People are also advised to adopt a culture of drinking at home or at places where they are safe.”
