A 41-year-old man who is a municipal public office bearer at the Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Local Municipality in Volksrust is expected to appear at the Amersfoort Magistrate’s Court today facing charges of corruption.
His appearance follows an investigation that is underway after cases of corruption were opened against him in November 2017, for allegedly selling RDP houses.
The docket was taken to the Public Prosecutor for a decision and it returned recently with an instruction that he should be charged, hence the appearance.
