Eskom reaches agreement with Msukaligwa

The agreement to pay the outstanding electricity debt over a period of 24 months is with effect from March 2017 and shall remain in force until the municipality has paid in full the amount of R126 103 448,12.

The Municipality is pleased to announce that they signed an agreement with Eskom to avert the envisaged interruption of bulk supply of electricity.

The agreement also suspends future interest charges.

According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman for Msukaligwa Local Municipality, the municipality will only be able to honour the aforementioned payment agreement when consumers also come on board by paying for their municipal services on time and in full.
