Windhoek golf beckons

As winners of this leg of the competition, Len and Chris will take part in the regional playoffs and stand a chance to qualify for the national finals to be played in Windhoek in June.

Len Kleynhans and Chris Landman emerged as winners of the Ermelo round of the 2016 Windhoek Lager International Pairs Better-ball Golf Challenge, played at the Ermelo Country Club on Saturday.

The competition attracted a disappointingly small field of 37 players, but one can assume that many golfers were away for the long weekend.

Len and Chris finished ahead of Manna Smith and Tersia Kemp in second place, who in turn edged out Attie Prinsloo and Piet Swanepoel in third place.

As winners of this leg of the competition, Len and Chris will take part in the regional playoffs and stand a chance to qualify for the national finals to be played in Windhoek in June.

The first and second placed pairs of the national finals will then be flown to Spain where they will compete in the world finals.
