New library at Thusiville

More than R12 million is budgeted for construction of the new library.

The community of Thusiville, Ermelo will soon have the use of a newly built library that is currently under construction and funded by the Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation (DCSR).

The construction of the 654 m² library with a budget of more than R12 million began in September last year and has created job opportunities for 16 locals, 10 males and six females.

Upon completion it will be fitted with 31 computers for the use of both learners and the broader community.
The project is expected to be completed later in the year.

It was initiated by the Mpumalanga Public Service Commission when they requested the Msukaligwa Local Municipality to make land available for the establishment of several services centres, including a library.
