Breaking news – Armed robbery in Ermelo CBD
Staff were held at gunpoint and locked in an office.
Armed robbers struck at the Exact Store in Ermelo at about 10:45 this morning and held shop assistants and a client at gunpoint before locking them in an office. The robbers then stole a number of cell phones before making their getaway.
Police, security personnel and EMT’s were on the scene. No injuries were reported.
The robbers were traced to the R39 Morgenzon road and farm watch, neighbourhood watch members and police arrested three suspects shortly after 12:00 in the Standerton and Holmdene areas.
