MEC says thank you

: Sethu would have turned nine in August

Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison Vusi Shongwe and his family have expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza, Minister of Transport Dipuo Peters, Deputy Ministers, government officials, politicians, dignitaries and members of the public in Mpumalanga and other provinces for their support and they laid to rest their daughter Sethu Shongwe.

Sethu was laid to rest in KwaZanele, Breyten in a hugely attended funeral and moving service on Sunday.

Sethu was described by her teachers and classmates as the life of the class, funny, hard-working and quite generous.

She would have turned nine years old on 31 August and wanted her birthday party by the pool with friends and classmates.

She also wanted a purple dress and purple cake as purple was her favourite colour and aspired to be a doctor when she grew up.

Sethu was hit by a car while trying to cross a street near her parents house last Wednesday.
