College bids students farewell

Gert Sibande Further Education and Training College bid farewell to their NC4 students at a glamorous event held at the District Municipality last Friday.

The farewell was hosted for two campuses, Ermelo and Sibanesetfu near Glenmore.

Ermelo campus manager Ms Andri Steyn encouraged the students to go out and be an example to the world and raise the college’s flag high.

“I encourage you all to lead by example and take all the lessons learned and experience with you and make a good life for yourselves,” said Ms Steyn.

Pastor Nkambule of Elshaddai Tabernacle Church gave the keynote address. He encouraged the students to have a purpose in life and position themselves correctly.

Mr Peter Rasunyane from the Department of Labour gave a short lecture to the students on how to compile a CV, gave tips on how to avoid commonly made mistakes on CVs and how to apply for employment.

Noluthando McDonalds read a poem Moving up that had the crowd clapping with appreciation.
