Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 trophy makes a stop in Ermelo

The trophy tour not only aims to generate excitement, but also to engage communities and inspire young netball players across the nation.

ERMELO – With the countdown to the Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 (VNWC) well under way, the preparations have intensified as the tournament trophy made its grand entrance onto South African soil.

The VNWC Trophy Tour is set to embark on a nationwide journey, igniting excitement across the country, leading up to the eagerly awaited event scheduled to take place at the esteemed Cape Town

International Convention Centre from July 28 to August 6.

Netball South Africa’s president, Cecilia Molokwane, places the trophy in its glass case.

The tour will take place through various provinces, commencing to KwaZulu-Natal. From there, it will make its way to Gauteng before venturing through some regions of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the North West,

the Free State, the Northern Cape and the Eastern Cape. Finally, the tour will culminate in the Western Cape, where Cape Town’s passionate netball community eagerly awaits its arrival.

The trophy recently made a memorable stop in Ermelo, captivating residents and netball enthusiasts alike.
