Care centre receives French donation

The centre was one of the nominated beneficiaries at the French National Day (Bastille Day) celebrated every year on 14 July.

Children of the Dawn Care Centre in Ermelo received a cash donation from the French community in Johannesburg last Wednesday.
The centre was one of the nominated beneficiaries at the French National Day (Bastille Day) celebrated every year on 14 July.
Bastille Day is a day of celebrations of French culture, when many large-scale public events are held, including a military parade, dances, parties and fireworks as well as communal meals.
The French Consul, Mr Raymond Quereilhac, delivered the donation to the centre manager, Mr Tafayile Zulu, and national project manager Ms Magali Malherbe at the centre in Ermelo.
In his presentation, Mr Quereilhac said he was excited to be part of such a caring and successful centre and conveyed good wishes from the French community.
Children of the Dawn has care centres for rural orphaned and vulnerable children throughout the country.
