Two Ermelo business owners robbed at gunpoint

They robbed him of cellphones, cash, airtime and cigarettes to the value of R19 000.

ERMELO – Two businesses were recently robbed in Ermelo.

According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, the spokesman of Ermelo police three men entered a general dealer store around 19:00 on 3 November in New Ermelo.

“They pointed a firearm at the owner and robbed him of cash and stock to the value of R6 500 and fled the scene,” she said.

She added in the second robbery, four suspects entered a shop around 20:00 in Extention 5, Wesselton.

According to her, one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the shop owner.

They robbed him of cellphones, cash, airtime and cigarettes to the value of R19 000.
